I-79 is a major north/south highway extending from Charleston, West Virginia, to Erie, Pennsylvania. It begins at I-77 in Charleston, a short distance north of where I-64 and I-77 split. I-79 runs northeast and then north to Morgantown before crossing the state line into Pennsylvania.
