The Fall River Expressway is a north/south highway connecting the Boston area to Fall River and Rhode Island, the island from which the state takes its name. It is designated MA 24 in Massachusetts and RI 24 in Rhode Island. The section in Rhode Island is relatively short. It enters the state from Massachusetts just south of Fall River, crosses the Sakonnet River Bridge to Portsmouth, and ends at West Main Road (RI 114).
