PA 54 is an east/west route from Montgomery to Nesquehoning. It begins at US 15, a few miles south of Williamsport, and runs southeast, crossing the West Branch of the Susquehanna River and passing through interchanges with I-180 and I-80. In Danville, it crosses the Susquehanna River. It continues southeast to Ashland and then east to Nesquehoning, passing through an interchange with I-81 along the way. It ends at US 209.
