Bridge Street is an east/west street running through New Hope and Lambertville. As its name implies, it crosses a bridge over the Delaware River between Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The section in New Hope is designated PA 179, and it changes designation to become NJ 179 at the state line. Although PA 179 runs east and west, it is considered to a north/south route for consistency with NJ 179 and US 202. The entire length is a two-lane undivided road.
