PA 162 is an east/west route in Chester County. The first section is known as Embreeville Road. It begins at Doe Run Road (PA 82/PA 842) in Kennett Square and runs north along the western boundary of ChesLen Preserve. It curves to the east and runs along the northern boundary of the preserve, changing names to become Telegraph Road. After a short distance, PA 162 turns onto Strasburg Road, which continues to the east, passing Stroud Preserve. It ultimately makes its way to West Chester, where it ends at Downingtown Pike (Business US 322).
