Croton Point Avenue begins at South Riverside Avenue (CR 305) in Croton-on-Hudson. There is an interchange with the Croton Expressway (US 9/NY 9A). After the expressway, the entrance to the Croton-Harmon train station is on the left.

After the train station, Croton Point Avenue narrows down to two lanes and changes designation to become CR 7A.
