Bedford Road is a major road in Westchester, extending northeast from Sleepy Hollow to Bedford Hills. For most of its length, it is a state route, NY 117. However, in the vicinity of Pleasantville, NY 117 leaves Bedford Road and follows Manville Road for a little over a mile. The section of Bedford Road in this area is a county route. CR 27A is the very short section of Bedford Road between the beginning of Manville Road in Mount Pleasant and the Pleasantville village line. It is only a few blocks long. The designation changes to CR 27 at the village line.
