There is an entrance to the tunnel from 9 Avenue in Manhattan. It is marked by a pair of identical sign assemblies with variable message signs.

There is an overhead sign on 10 Avenue instructing motorists to turn right on West 30 Street for access to the tunnel. This entrance is closed to trucks, which must continue north until West 39 Street.
