NY 384 is a north/south route from Buffalo to Niagara Falls. It begins at the end of the Buffalo Skyway (NY 5). In Buffalo, it is known as Delaware Avenue. It keeps this name after leaving the city but changes names to become Delaware Street in Tonawanda after an interchange with the Youngmann Memorial Highway (I-290). In North Tonawanda, it changes names again to become Main Street, which ends after a short distance at River Road (NY 265).
The two routes are multiplexed along River Road, following the Niagara River to Niagara Falls, where it changes names to become Buffalo Avenue. After a short distance, NY 265 splits off onto South Military Road. Buffalo Avenue continues west into the downtown area of Niagara Falls, where it becomes Rainbow Boulevard. After a couple of blocks, NY 384 turns north onto John B. Daly Boulevard and then west onto Niagara Street. It ends at the Rainbow Bridge, which crosses the Niagara River to Canada. The bridge itself is a reference route. There is an exit for Main Street (NY 104) just before the bridge as NY 384 ends.
