The Brandywine Highway is a short north/south expressway that extends from State Street (NY 434) in Binghamton to exit 1 of I-88. For most of its length, it is designated NY 7. However, near its southern end, NY 7 splits off onto Brandywine Avenue. The southernmost mile and change of the Brandywine Highway is designated NY 363. The designation is signed, but the most prominent signage makes reference to the other routes that can be accessed via NY 363, such as NY 7, NY 17/Future I-86, and I-81. At some interchanges, the signage makes no reference to NY 363 at all.
