NY 306 is a north/south route from Monsey through Wesley Hills to Pomona. It runs parallel to and about a mile west of NY 45. Saddle River Road (CR 73) becomes NY 306 when it crosses NY 59. It runs north for a few miles and then ends at US 202. The entire length is a two-lane undivided road. The southernmost section is Monsey is known as Main Street, but most of NY 306 has no name and is known solely by its number.
