NY 10 is a north/south route extending from near the Pennsylvania border through the Catskills and into the Adirondacks. It begins at the Quickway (NY 17/Future I-86) and is multiplexed with NY 8 for the first mile. It then splits off to the northeast, running along the south side of the Cannonsville Reservoir before crossing a bridge over the reservoir and running along the north side. It continues northeast, following the West Branch of the Delaware River to Stamford, and then north. From Richmondville to Cobleskill, it is multiplexed with NY 7 to the east. It then splits off to the north again, crossing the New York Thruway (I-90) at exit 29 in Canojoharie. It continues north into the Adirondacks, where it meets NY 8 again and ends just south of Piseco Lake.
