West 72 Street, East 72 Street

Western Terminus:
Henry Hudson Parkway (NY 9A) and Riverside Boulevard in Manhattan
Eastern Terminus:
Dead end in Manhattan
New York

72 Street is a major east/west street in Manhattan, running through the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side. It crosses Central Park as a westbound one-way transverse road. (This is different from all of the other transverse roads, which are two-way.) The section west of the transverse road is known as West 72 Street, and the section east of the transverse road is known as East 72 Street. All of 72 Street except for the transverse road is a four-lane undivided street with traffic lights.
