Ocean Avenue runs south through Brooklyn as a four-lane undivided road. There are traffic lights with oversized street name signs at Avenue Y, Avenue Z, and Voorhies Avenue.

Ocean Avenue crosses the Belt Parkway. There is no interchange here, but there is access to the service roads.
