I-787 is a north/south highway through Albany. It begins at exit 23 of the New York Thruway (I-87) and runs north along the Hudson River through the city, eventually reaching Watervliet. There, the highway ends at an interchange with NY 7, where it becomes Cohoes Boulevard (NY 787). Officially, the I-787 designation is multiplexed with NY 7 for a short distance across the Collar City Bridge to Troy, where it becomes Hoosick Street. However, the multiplexed section is not signed, and it appears as if I-787 turns into NY 787 at the end of the highway.
