CR 55 is a north/south route running along the west side of Spring Lake. Spring Lake Road begins as CR 56. At the southwest corner of the lake, it splits off to the north as CR 55, while CR 56 continues east as Turkey Hill Road. Spring Lake Road runs along the west side of the lake. When it reaches the north side of the lake, it curves to the west and then back to the north to enter Columbia County, where it becomes Columbia CR 19.
