Winchell Mountain Road is a short north/south route located in the southeast corner of Columbia County. Pulver Road, a local street, becomes Winchell Mountain Road at the Dutchess-Columbia county line. It runs northwest for a few miles to NY 82 in Ancram, where it ends. Columbia CR 8 is different from Dutchess CR 60, a nearby east/west route that is also known as Winchell Mountain Road.
