NJ 52 is a causeway over Great Egg Harbor Bay, connecting US 9 in Somers Point to Ocean City. The causeway crosses two islands, where there are fishing piers and a welcome center. NJ 52 is designated a north/south route, although it really goes more east and west. The official southern terminus in state documents is where the causeway touches down at Palen Avenue, but it is signed as extending one more block to end at Bay Avenue (CR 656).
