NJ 38 is an east/west route through the suburbs of Philadelphia. It begins at Admiral Wilson Boulevard (US 30) and Crescent Boulevard (US 30/US 130) in Pennsauken, a couple of miles east of the Ben Franklin Bridge (I-676/US 30). The first section is known as Kaighns Avenue and is a large divided highway with a mixture of grade-separated interchanges and traffic lights with jughandles. It extends east through Cherry Hill and then has interchanges with NJ 41 and NJ 73. Beyond this interchange, it has no name and is known just by its number. It continues east, having an interchange with I-295. It also crosses the New Jersey Turnpike (NJ 700), but there is no interchange. In Southampton, NJ 38 takes on the name of South Pemberton Road for a short distance and then ends at US 206.
