NJ 37 runs east as a six-lane divided road. There is a traffic light with jughandles at Douglas Street.

A pair of bridges carries NJ 37 across Barnegat Bay to Seaside Heights. Eastbound traffic uses the Thomas A. Mathis Bridge, while westbound traffic uses the J. Stanley Tunney Bridge.

There is a traffic light at Catalina Avenue. Then, NJ 37 ends at NJ 35. Bear right to go south or bear left to go north.
