NJ 165 is a short north/south route in Lambertville that extends from NJ 29 to Bridge Street (NJ 179). The official route of NJ 29 as shown in state documents is multiplexed with NJ 165 for its entire length, but NJ 29 is signed as running along Main Street, which is one block to the west. However, part of this section of Main Street is a southbound one-way street, so motorists travelling north on NJ 29 are forced onto NJ 165 at this point. NJ 165 is signed in that there is signage for it on the traffic light where it intersects Swan Street, but there is no other signage, including at either of the termini.
