NJ 147 is an east/west highway across a series of bridges from Middle Township to North Wildwood. It begins at US 9 and has an interchange with the Garden State Parkway (NJ 444). Then, it crosses three bridges over Mill Trail Creek, Grassy Sound, and Beach Creek to North Wildwood, where it curves to the south and becomes New Jersey Avenue (CR 621). For most of its length, NJ 147 is known as North Wildwood Boulevard. At its eastern end in North Wildwood, it changes names to become Spruce Avenue.
