MD 543 is a north/south route extending from Belcamp to Pylesville. It begins at Pulaski Highway (US 40). The first section is known as Riverside Parkway. It starts as a two-lane undivided road but widens to four lanes and gets a divider as it passes through an interchange with the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway (I-95). Just north of the interchange, the divider ends and it narrows back down to two lanes, changing names to become Creswell Road. In Bel Air, it crosses Calvary Road (MD 136) and changes names again to become Fountain Green Road. It continues north through Bel Air. Upon crossing the Hickory Bypass (US 1), it changes names yet again to become Ady Road. It ends at Pylesville Road (MD 165) in Pylesville.
