CT 82 is an east/west route in southeastern Connecticut. The first section is a super-3, a three-lane undivided highway with no at-grade intersections, from the CT 9 expressway in Chester to Middlesex Turnpike (CT 154) in Haddam. CT 82 is multiplexed with CT 154 for a few blocks. It then splits off onto Bridge Road, which runs east to the East Haddam Bridge, a swing bridge over the Connecticut River. On the other side of the bridge, CT 82 is called Norwich Road. A short distance to the east, Norwich Road ends at the southern terminus of CT 151. CT 82 runs south along Town Street for a few miles to the eastern terminus of CT 148. It then turns east onto Norwich-Salem Road. It runs east, changing names several times, until Norwich, where it ends at Chelsea Harbor Drive (CT 2).
