CT 32 is a north/south route extending from New London to the border with Massachusetts. It begins at Crystal Avenue (SSR 437), just south of an interchange with I-95/US 1. It runs between the Connecticut Turnpike (I-395) and the Thames River to Norwich, where it joins CT 2. The two routes are multiplexed through the town to the beginning of the CT 2 expressway and then along the expressway for its first few exits. Then, it splits off and runs northwest to Willimantic. There, it is multiplexed with Main Street (CT 32) for a short distance in the downtown area before splitting off to continue north to Stafford Springs and then to Massachusetts. It becomes MA 32 upon crossing the state line.
