Before the Kosciuszko Bridge, the roadway splits into two sets of lanes. Bear right for access to exits 35A-B. Through traffic may use either set of lanes.

Exits 35A-B is for the Long Island Expressway (I-495) and 48 Street.

Exit 39 is for Queens Boulevard (NY 25) and 65 Place. It was originally signed as exit 36 and then renumbered. Some of the old "exit 36" signs still stand while others have been replaced.

Exit 41 is for Northern Boulevard (NY 25A). Exit 42 is for the Grand Central Parkway east.

The Brooklyn-Queens Expressway merges with the Grand Central Parkway. Exit 45 is for 31 Street. A sign informs drivers that the Triboro Bridge has been renamed the RFK Bridge.
