Glen Road, Central Boulevard, Palisade Avenue
Westbound Views
NJ 5 begins at River Road (CR 505) in Edgewater, ascending a steep cliff that separates the waterfront along the Hudson River from the rest of New Jersey. Since the cliff is too steep to go directly to the west here, NJ 5 ascends it through a switchback, first heading north and up.

The road sharply curves around back to the south. The George Washington Bridge (I-95/US 1/US 9) is visible in the distance through the trees.
