US 7 is a major north/south route in Berkshire County. It enters Massachusetts from Connecticut in Sheffield and runs north, a few miles east of the border with New York. It crosses the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), but there is no interchange. It makes its way north through Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lenox, and Pittsfield to Williamstown, where it crosses the border into Vermont and continues north to Canada.
