Welcome to Delaware! Bethel Road (MD 286) turns into Bethel Church Road upon entering the state. There is no signage welcoming motorists to Delaware. The state line is only marked by a pavement change and a DE 286 reassurance shield hidden behind the foliage.

DE 286 ends at a traffic circle at DE 15. To go north, turn left to stay on Bethel Church Road. Turn right onto Choptank Road to go south.
