Northbound Views
I-295 begins at the Delaware Turnpike (I-95). There is an exit for Basin Road (DE 141) north at the very beginning of the highway. This is exit 5B from I-95, but it actually accessed from the beginning of I-295.

There is a pair of exits for Dupont Parkway (US 13/US 40). Eastbound US 40 is multiplexed with northbound I-295 from here across the Delaware Memorial Bridge and into New Jersey.

The Delaware Memorial Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Delaware River from Delaware to New Jersey. On the other side, the road splits. Use the right lanes for I-295. Use the left lanes for the New Jersey Turnpike (NJ 700) and US 40.
