PA 29 is a north/south route extending from Wilkes-Barre to the New York border. It begins as the South Cross Valley Expressway, which extends west for a couple of miles from I-81 to US 11. At the end of the expressway, PA 29 is multiplexed with US 11 for about a mile and then splits off to the north. It runs north as a two-lane undivided road to the New York border, where it becomes NY 7. In most areas, PA 29 has no name and is known solely by its number.
