North Sea Road is a north/south route from Southampton to North Sea. It is designated CR 38 from North Road (NY 27/CR 39) in Southampton to Noyack Road in North Sea, at which point it becomes a local street. CR 38 was originally proposed to extended along Noyack Road to Sag Harbor and then southeast to Montauk Highway (NY 27) in Amagansett. Noyack Road was never taken over by the county and remains an unnumbered local street. The section of CR 38 proposed from Sag Harbor to Amagansett was never built at all.
