There is a traffic light at Union Turnpike. At this intersection, Lakeville Road touches the Queens-Nassau county line. To the left, Union Turnpike runs west as a New York City road. To the right, Union Turnpike runs east as a state route with the designation of NY 25C. At this intersection of three route systems (New York State, New York City, and Nassau County), the traffic light is provided by the Nassau County Department of Public Works.

In Great Neck, Lakeville Road widens to four lanes. There is a traffic light at Northern Boulevard (NY 25A). Turn right to go east or left to go west. Lakeville Road changes names here to become Middle Neck Road.
