The Massachusetts Turnpike is the main east/west toll highway in Massachusetts. It is often referred to as the Mass Pike for short, both colloquially and as an abbreviation on signs. The Berkshire Connector, an extension of the New York Thruway, becomes the Massachusetts Turnpike at the New York-Massachusetts state line. It runs east throughout the state to Boston. At the eastern end, it passes through the Ted Williams Tunnel to end at MA 1A near Logan Airport. The Massachusetts Turnpike is the easternmost portion of I-90, the longest interstate in the country, which extends west all the way to Seattle, WA.
