DE 92 is the northernmost east/west route in Delaware. It begins at Montchanin Road (DE 100) and runs northeast. The first section is a two-lane undivided road called Thompsons Bridge Road, which crosses a bridge over Brandywine Creek. On the other side, Thompsons Bridge Road continues northeast to end at Ramsey Road. DE 92 follows Ramsey Road to where it ends at Beaver Valley Road. DE 92 turns east onto Beaver Valley Road, which widens to become a four-lane divided highway and intersects Concord Pike (US 202) at a traffic light. On the other side, it changes names to become Naamans Road. It runs east, just south of the border with Pennsylvania, to eventually end at Philadelphia Pike (US 13) in Claymont.
