Water Street begins at Glastonbury Turnpike (CT 17) in Glastonbury and runs west as a two-lane undivided road.

Water Street curves to the left and becomes Tryon Street. There is a small bridge over Roaring Brook.

Turn right onto Ferry Lane to stay on CT 160. Tryon Street continues straight ahead as a local street.

Ferry Lane runs east to the ferry slip along the Connecticut River. To continue on CT 160, take the ferry across the river to Rocky Hill.

On the other side of the ferry, there is a stop sign. Turn left onto Meadow Road to stay on CT 160.

There is a stop sign. Meadow Road splits off to the left to become a local street. Continue straight ahead onto Glastonbury Avenue to stay on CT 160.

Glastonbury Avenue ends at a traffic light at CT 99. Turn right onto Silas Deane Highway to go north or left onto Main Street to go south. Continue straight ahead onto Elm Street to stay on CT 160.
